The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts on Tuesday announced the nominees for the 7th AACTA International Awards.
Call Me by Your Name, Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, with five nominations each, lead the total of 15 films to receive mentions across seven categories. Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig and Alison Janney are among the acting nominees.
Mirroring the American Film Institute Movie of the Year acknowledgements, the five nominees for best feature are Call Me by Your Name, Dunkirk, Lady Bird, The Shape of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Over three-quarters of the nominees received their first AACTA nominations, including: Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk), Allison Janney (I, Tonya), Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour), Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Willem Dafoe (The Florida Project) and Australian actress Margot Robbie, who followed her first Golden Globe nomination with her first AACTA International Award nomination for best lead actress for I, Tonya.

The AACTA International Award winners are determined by over 150 Australian filmmakers and executives who “recognize film excellence regardless of geography.”
Winners of the 7th AACTA International Awards will be announced Friday, Jan. 5, at a ceremony held at The Avalon Hollywood.
