The Classification and Rating Appeals Board has overturned the R rating originally given to the upcoming film The Other Woman, starring Cameron Diaz opposite Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.
Diaz herself appeared at the appeals hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday alongside 20th Century Fox president of production Emma Watts. The Other Woman, which opens April 25, now will be released with a more teen-friendly PG-13 rating.

Directed by Nick Cassavetes from a script by Melissa Stack, The Other Woman stars Diaz as a woman who discovers that the man she has been seeing is married. She soon becomes friends with his wife, and their circle grows to three when they meet another woman with whom the husband had an affair. Together, they plot their revenge.
The ratings board had bestowed the R rating for some sexual references. Sources say no cuts were made to the movie in order to secure the PG-13 rating.
CARA chairman Joan Graves represented the ratings board at Thursday’s hearing.
