Hill’s first hosting attempt in 2007 was actually canceled due to the writers’ strike, but Lorne Michaels invited him back in 2008, shortly after Superbad, and Hill proved his mettle as a host, including one standout digital short that had him declaring his love for Andy Samberg’s father. Soon after, he returned in 2012 to celebrate his first Academy Award nomination for Moneyball, and when he last hosted in 2014, fresh off his second Oscar nod for The Wolf of Wall Street, he recruited his costar (and now Oscar winner) Leonardo DiCaprio to help him reenact Titanic in his monologue. This time around, Hill doesn’t really have anything to promote, as he last appeared in the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar!, and he’ll soon lend his voice to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s R-rated animated comedy Sausage Party, which is premiering soon at SXSW. Instead, expect the SNL vet to revisit some of his recurring sketches, like the raunchy 6-year-old Adam Grossman, who likes to frequent Benihana and humiliate his parents. Hill may know his way around Studio 8H at this point, but musical guest Future will be making his SNL debut. The Atlanta rapper released his fourth studio album, EVOL, almost exactly a month ago.
