A woman had a lucky escape today after her car was written off in an accident.
The woman was driving her grey Audi on Smithdown Road in Wavertree at around 2pm this afternoon, May 15, when the accident happened.
Emergency services attended the scene and a cordon was put in place covering a section of Smithdown Road.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed the woman was taken to hospital and sustained minor injuries. The Audi was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
