About Heathers The Musical

Following its award-winning and record-breaking West End run, the darkly comedic musical Heathers returns to the stage. Book Heathers tickets on London Theatre.

Heathers has been a hit from the beginning. The musical's European premiere at The Other Palace sold over 20,000 tickets and became the highest-grossing show at the theatre. In 2018, the show transferred to the West End at Theatre Royal Haymarket, where it won the 2019 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical.

In this revival, Jenna Innes (Les Misérables) reprises the role of Veronica Sawyer after playing the role in the UK and Ireland tour. Keelan McAuley (Grease) is playing JD. Also included in the talented cast are Daisy Twells (Heathers) as Heather McNamara, Sedona Sky (in her professional debut) as Heather Duke, and Esme Bowdler (I Have a Dream finalist) as Heather Chandler.

Heathers in London tells the tale of teenage Veronica Sawyer, who dreams of popularity, but when she is brought into the popular and cruel Heathers clique in her school, it could have devastating consequences. This coming-of-age story explores themes related to bullying, teen suicide, school violence, and intimate partner violence.

The musical includes an exceptional high-energy score with hits like Dead Girl Walking, Candy Store, and Seventeen. The songs are such an audience-favourite that the original West End cast recording debuted at number 24 on the Official Albums Chart.

Heathers is a musical written by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, based on the 1988 cult classic film of the same name starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. This revival brings the same exceptional creative team from the original West End run including director Andy Fickman (Reefer Madness, Paul Blart: Mall Cop II), designs are by David Shields (But I'm a Cheerleader: The Musical), sound is by Dan Samson (The Cher Show, Saturday Night Fever), and associate director and choreographer is Gary Lloyd (Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical, Flash Mob).

Don’t see it if You want slick scene changes - other than that there’s nothing not to enjoy.

Don’t see it if Your preference is limited to traditional musical theatre, and your unprepared to take a leap of faith into an ocean of entertainment.
