Fabolous, P. Diddy, B2K Get Cuts At Cube's 'Barbershop'

3LW, Jagged Edge, Ghostface Killah, Ginuwine also on soundtrack.

Like a typical afternoon in a South Side Chicago barbershop, the soundtrack to the movie about one of those days brings together a variety of men and women, young and old.

The "Barbershop" album, due August 27, features a wide range of hip-hop and R&B by artists ranging from B2K and 3LW to Marvin Gaye and the Staple Singers.

Neither Ice Cube nor Eve (the film's stars) appear on the soundtrack, though hip-hop is represented by the likes of P. Diddy, Fabolous and Ghostface Killah (see [article id="1451322"]"Eve To Star In Ice Cube's Next Flick"[/article]).

Ginuwine has already hit airwaves with the album's first single, "Stingy," which will be followed by "Trade It All (Part 2)" by Fabolous and P. Diddy featuring Jagged Edge. A video for that track was recently shot in Los Angeles with director Chris Robinson (Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes).

P. Diddy also appears on the album with his Bad Boy family on "And We." That's not the only family gathering on the record, as B2K's Lil' Fizz and his cousin Jhene duet on "Sneaky."

The soundtrack's other duet, between Canadian crooner Glenn Lewis and Amel Larrieux on "What's Come Over Me," is a strong candidate for the third single, according to an Epic Records spokesperson.

"Barbershop," which also stars Cedric the Entertainer ("The Original Kings of Comedy") and Sean Patrick Thomas ("Save the Last Dance"), is due in theaters September 13.
