You probably didn’t realize this, but there’s a little slice of the silicon valley in Jersey City. ElectrifAi, a data science company, is a global leader in business-ready machine learning models with a mission to help organizations change the way they work through machine learning: driving revenue uplift, cost reduction, and profit and performance improvement.

The 17-year-old company was restructured two years ago, with a group of new executives with deep experience, and it changed the company’s tech from legacy to open source.

The company recently achieved AWS (Amazon Web Services) Machine Learning Competency Status (ML) in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI). The designation recognizes that ElectrifAi has demonstrated deep experience and expertise in building or integrating practical ML solutions on AWS. The biggest takeaway from this announcement is that the company’s relationship with Amazon Web Services is growing, and it shows that ElectrifAi is a leader in artificial intelligence software for businesses.

Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon, providing on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments. AWS Partners, recognized as part of the AWS Machine Learning Competency expansion, help customers take advantage of intelligent solutions to drive business optimization, customer revenue growth and cost reduction. This is done by creating, automating, and managing end-to-end ML workflows with machine intelligence.

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

“What makes us unique is that we’re not a platform company like our competitors,” says Gregg McNulty, chief information officer of ElectrifAi. “We’re not a workbench. Developers go to platform companies to try and build something. That’s not what we aspire to be. We have pre-built products already that are used by some of the biggest companies in the U.S.”

Founded in 2004, ElectrifAi has a global team of domain experts and a record of transforming structured and unstructured data at scale. A large library of AI-based products reaches across business functions, data systems, and teams to drive superior results in record time, McNulty said. ElectrifAi has approximately 200 data scientists, software engineers and employees with a proven record of dealing with over 2,000 customer implementations, mostly for Fortune 500 companies.

“Companies use us because they don’t want to build the AI,” says McNulty. “Say if you want to buy a car, would you order the 10,000 parts for the car and have them shipped to your house for you to assemble it? You’re not, because you want to buy it so it’s ready.”

Outside of Jersey City, ElectrifAi has offices based in San Diego, CA; New Dehli, and Shanghai. The company can be found at electrifai.net.
