German violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter returns to Sydney to perform the music of Antonin Dvořák with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She will play his Violin Concerto, and Romance for violin and orchestra.
Dvořák founded the Czech Philarmonic in 1896, and is frequently cited as one of the finest in Europe. Czech conductor Jakub Hrůša will lead the orchestra in the Dvořák program, which also includes Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony.
