      Critics Consensus

And Just Like That... fails to recapture Sex and the City's heady fizz, but like a fine wine, these characters have developed subtler depths with age.

Jennifer L After binging sex and the city this was very depressing. It just doesn't feel the same. Che is also very annoying. I wished they would take Che off and bring Kim Cantrell back. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/02/24 Full Review Louise C This season varied quite a bit. I wanted to watch the whole season because I've watched this team right from the start. By the end of Season One I wanted to see more, to find out what happened. So viewed S2 next. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/23 Full Review Nikki C As soon as they killed off Big, it ruined the show and they're trying to hard to be politically-correct. It's just not the same anymore. It's unfortunate because we all waited so long for the comeback. I understand why the changes had to me made but nonetheless. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Erica H It was just... NO. Wtf was that!? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/17/23 Full Review Kimchi C Poor quality writing due to lack of continuity, deconstruction of original characters, cringe in your face LGTBQAI+ narratives…subtlety goes a LONG way. The acting is bad…especially of the character, Charlotte. The wardrobe is aligned with the script; a dumpster fire. Samantha's replacement character is a miss and much more. The writers are all over the place. What's worse is that producers who support this mess won't make the necessary corrections needed in order not to destroy the franchise. Unfortunately, season 2 isn't much better. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Tara W Painful. This series doesn't exist for me. Should've just left it at the end of the original series, no movies. #justiceforsteve Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Judy Berman TIME Magazine A sequel that was dead on arrival... Feb 5, 2022 Full Review Caryn James BBC.com While the more sombre tone may disappoint some fans, it breathes creative life into a series whose fizzy adventures were very much of its moment. Rated: 3/5 Jan 25, 2022 Full Review Alex Abad-Santos Vox I tune in each week, not hoping that they'll suddenly become fabulous again but that they learn something and keep moving. Because it seems that life does not get any better, you just get better at laughing at it. Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Sameen Amer The News International (Pakistan) And Just Like That… demonstrated that yes, it is indeed possible to make a show even lamer than Sex and the City. Dec 28, 2022 Full Review Tom Gliatto People Magazine An envelop-pushing departure from Sex and the City... Sep 12, 2022 Full Review Alexandra MacAaron Women's Voices for Change I applaud any intentional moves toward meaningful equity, but some of the new characters feel a little too strategic. (You can almost hear the writers: “What if we make Che a queer, non-binary Mexican-Irish diva?”) Methinks they doth protest too much ... Rated: 5/10 Aug 25, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
