      Critics Consensus

And Just Like That… still stumbles where Sex and the City once confidently strutted, but this much-improved second season comes a lot closer to offering fans their favorite cosmopolitan with a twist.

Tai C LOVED the original series and the first season of And Just Like That was okay - but this season is SO BAD! Breaks my heart. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Asad C borderline cringey and complete trash. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review V C I watched the 1st and thought it was ridiculous. They tried too hard to push the LGBTQA+ narrative, like a fashion trend. Miranda was pathetic. I watched season 2 hoping they caught on, but Miranda is still a sad pathetic character. Ironically, she chases after Che like "they" were a husband from the 50's and she is the wife trying to serve him. This is the greatest deception! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Louise C Season Two got off to a better start. I was pleasantly surprised at the way things shaped up with Che and Miranda, at first. Later, the series dipped to depressing depths. I became disappointed with the story-lines as there was little "Feel Good" material until the conclusion. That being said, I was glad to have the chance to see the gals once more in this updated series. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/29/23 Full Review Stephanie M Season 2 just keeps getting better. Carrie has remained loveable, clear-headed Carrie through both seasons, and the full cast is a delight. Season 1 was inconsistent, but I've loved every episode of 2 and I'm down to the last few. I'm the age of these women & I appreciate a show that allows older women to be sexy, relevant, vibrant, wear great fashion and high heels. I may need to rethink my Crocs. The in-your-face wealth is a little annoying. I worked all my life & still live on a shoestring, but wealth clearly doesn't buy them happiness, and in that sense we're all the same. Looking forward to the last few episodes & Season 3. And just like that, a really good series has emerged. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Rebecca H Season 2 was definitely better than Season 1 but still utterly disappointing. I so want to love this since I loved the original So much but they just keep messing it up. The characters in my opinion are completely out of touch and arrogant uptight rich elites. Carrie has become so upright and even more pointless, she really thinks she is such a wonderful woman but no not at all. Why bring back Aidan just to send him off with the most ridiculous send off and don't get me started with Miranda, and Charlotte is just annoying. It's like torture we want to love it but we hate it, be honest people I'm sure lost of us old fans do. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Emily Zemler Observer Despite its reliance on ridiculous storylines, And Just Like That has been a reasonably enjoyable watch this season. Aug 30, 2023 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine A show stuck in Carrie's past... Aug 25, 2023 Full Review Rachel Cooke New Statesman Who knows what lies ahead, but I believe this series -- the second, words it feels unbelievable even to type -- may already have hit rock bottom. Jul 10, 2023 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate Obsessively self-involved, bereaved Carrie - now the keynote speaker at WidowCon - is still chirping...but now it's about career frustration, breast cancer, and - above all - existential disappointment and loneliness. Not much fun. Rated: 5/10 Mar 9, 2024 Full Review Donal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) It was an anticlimax which only served to underline something that the show’s legion of aghast fans knew long ago: the spinoff we really want involves Samantha moving on with new friends, and hopefully new writers... Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Natasha Alvar Cultured Vultures While the writing is still a far cry away from how it was on the original series, there are definitely more sparks this season, and the characterisation more true to form.
