'Jem and the Holograms' cast revealed

Jem is excitement today, at least for fans of the '80s classic cartoon.

The cast of the upcoming live-action Jem and the Holograms was announced via the movie's Tumblr. Not surprisingly, none were even born in the '80s.

Jem, aka Jerrica Benton, will be played by Nashville actress Aubrey Peeples, 20.

Kid sister Kimber is Disney star Stefanie Scott, 17.

Playing Shana is Pretty Little Liars' Aurora Perrineau, born in 1994.

And Aja? The Fosters' Hayley Kiyoko, 23.

UPDATE: We have a Rio! And he was born in the '80s! Pretty Little Liars' Ryan Guzman, 26, who tweets that he's "privileged" to be embodying the role.

Peeples has posted Instagram snaps of the burgeoning band: "we love each other (cue 'awwww')."
