Drew Barrymore's Ex-Husband Says His Dead Relatives Would Never Talk to the Psychic on Her Talk Show

It seems there's no guest Drew Barrymore can't get on her talk show, including those who have already passed over to the other side. In a spooktacular new segment, the actress invited a psychic who channeled one of her deceased relatives. The only problem is that that particular relative isn't actually dead yet.

Last week, Barrymore had psychic Anna Raimondi on her program who gave her a reading and said she sensed the presence of a "judge." This revelation caused the talk show host to burst into tears, explaining that it must be David, the dead relative of her ex-husband Will Kopelman who was a judge. Raimondi added that the presence of her ex's relative is proof that “you are so a part of that family. It doesn’t matter whether the two of you are together anymore.” But according to Kopelman, that judge in question is very much alive and kicking.

Barrymore's ex-husband told Page Six, "Drew and I have a close and highly amicable co-parenting relationship; I have and always will continue to cheer her on from the sidelines. That being said, the segment was a solid laugh considering my uncle Judge David Kopelman is still very much alive."

“And I’m a little surprised that Drew chose to give oxygen to someone like this," he continued, "because self-entitled mediums who prey on vulnerable bereaved people with claims they can communicate with their dead loved ones in exchange for fame and compensation all belong in jail. None of my dead relatives — all of whom I’m sure would have really liked Drew — are speaking with some submental hack working the talk show circuit. This I assure you.”

However, a representative for Barrymore clarified, “The grandfather of Will is Frank, who was a judge and is deceased. David is…Will’s uncle, who’s alive and also a judge. That was the confusion.” The psychic added, “I felt a judge who is passed. Drew said David. I only felt a judge.”
