Ohio GOP endorses Donald Trump in 2024 presidential run
Former President Donald Trump has won the endorsement from the Ohio Republican party in his 2024 presidential run.
The Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee met in Columbus where they announced their endorsement.
The announcement makes the Ohio GOP the first state party in the country to formally endorse Trump.
"While we appreciate all of the Republican candidates who are passionately making their case to the American people, it is clear that President Trump is the right choice in this moment," Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou said in a statement.
Other Republicans in the field include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, Cincinnati-native Vivek Ramaswamy, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
