New Fun Wine Hard Bubbly Collection launching in 2021
The Fun Wine Hard Bubbly Collection made with monk fruit is launching in 2021 with some new flavors and a $5.99 price point.

The company reached out to me recently to see if I would be interested in reviewing their new Hard Bubbly Collection. The lower calorie content and available flavors sounded interesting, so I agreed.
Although I don't do many product reviews, I do enjoy wine, especially in this price range. Given my job, this should come as no surprise. I thought it would be nice to know if the new Hard Bubbly flavors are worth buying when it becomes available in our area in early 2021. A number of readers have also shared that they enjoy a more wallet-friendly adult beverage, so hopefully this will be of interest to you, as well.
Fun Wine sent 6 bottles to me in early December. The bottles all have beautiful artwork on them and they are truly stunning. According to the company, "each bottle is a piece of art created by acclaimed artist Miguel Paderes."
They will be offering the Hard Bubbly Collection in 6 flavors including Peach Passion Moscato™, Cappuccino Chardonnay™, Espresso Cabernet™, Coconut Chardonnay™, Strawberry Rosé Moscato™, and Sangria.
One of the things that I find appealing about this wine is that it has a low 5.5% ABV and each 5 oz. pour is only 59 calories. That's less than half the calorie content of traditional wine. Plus, it's lightly carbonated, and I love bubbles!
The wine is also made with monk fruit as a sweetener, which is a first for wine drinks, according to the company. The product literature indicates that all six wines are produced with all-natural, gluten-free ingredients, and are manufactured in a vegan-certified plant in the European Union.
So, let's get to my thoughts on the wine drinks. As you will see, I do not review wines for a living and will not be using all the impressive wine lingo that a true sommelier would include (well, other than the word "sommelier" which is most certainly impressive). This review is for us wine drinkers who enjoy the budget-friendly $10 and under varieties.
I've had a couple weeks to taste a number of the wine drinks they sent and I definitely have some favorites. Each bottle indicates that it is best served cold or on ice. I added ice to each drink I tried because I like a very cold bubbly drink.
After taking a few sips of the wine on ice, I decided to add a little orange juice. When I make sangria at home, I always add OJ and that really did the trick. For me, it added just the right touch and I will be enjoying the rest of the Fun Wine Hard Bubbly Collection Sangria with added OJ. It would also be delicious with some fresh orange slices, strawberries or blueberries.
Let's start with the smell. It's quite complex. It's part white wine, part coffee and part chocolate. Yes, chocolate. I had to look at the ingredients because I was so confused. My nose did not deceive me. Natural chocolate flavoring is actually an ingredient. I could definitely taste both the chocolate flavor and the cappuccino flavor. Somehow, they all mix well and the drink even has a hint of caramel.
