Burlesque the Musical is an upcoming stage musical with a book by Steve Antin (with additional material by Kate Wetherhead) and music and lyrics by Christina Aguilera, Jess Foley, Todrick Hall, Sia and Diane Warren based on Antin's 2010 film Burlesque.
Production history
World premiere: Manchester and Glasgow (2024)
On 1 November 2023, it was announced that the musical will have its world premiere at the Opera House, Manchester from 13 to 29 June 2024. Following the sold-out run in Manchester, it will play at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow from 11 to 28 September before returning to Manchester again from 3 October to 2 November.[1] The production will be directed and choreographed by Nick Winston, set designed by Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight with musical arrangements by Tom Curran.[2] Casting was announced on 23 January 2024.[3]
