February 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. MrOllie (talk) 15:38, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Bagel, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 15:46, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 01:02, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. MrOllie (talk) 01:05, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please be quiet. I am removing unsourced statements from a Wikipedia page. If you want those statements to remain please provide sources. This is pretty basic stuff. Bageleditor (talk) 01:05, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Don't shush people like that. The lead is a summary of the sourced content in the article body. That's pretty basic Wikipedia practice. You appear to be trying to remove all references to Jewish tradition from the article. Why? Acroterion (talk) 01:16, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely do not tell me what to do on my own talk page. I am not removing anything particularly Jewish, I am removing unsourced statements including in the body of the paragraphs beyond the preamble. Bageleditor (talk) 01:19, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Then use the article talkpage to respectfully explain what you think is wrong or unsourced. That is basic Wikipedia ettiquette, along with refraining from telling people to shut up, here or anywhere else. Acroterion (talk) 01:20, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize and you are right. I will be more respectful going forward. Bageleditor (talk) 01:21, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Bagel) for a period of 72 hours for removal of content without adequate discussion. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Acroterion (talk) 01:23, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To help you find the talkpage, I've blocked you from the article for a while, since you keep on editing the lede without addressing how you think the article body is in error. Discussion is obligatory. Acroterion (talk) 01:25, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, message received. See you in a few days when I get back from Hawaii.

Well, at least for us it's above freezing on most of the East Coast right now. Enjoy the beach. Acroterion (talk) 01:30, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Billie Eilish. ‍ ‍ Elias 🌊 ‍ 💬 "Will you call me?"

This is absurd. Who do I insult? Bageleditor (talk) 15:24, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bageleditor. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
