Talk:The Werehouse

Page contents not supported in other languages.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The article makes reference to fires and other mishaps in the final section. Perhaps somebody familiar with The Werehouse could add details, if they are germane to the history of the project. Any takers?Raymondwinn 15:10, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article is fucking terrible

The article reads like a press release or bio. I suspect someone involved with the promotion of the Werehouse wrote this without regard to Wikipedia's guidelines or purpose. It needs to be changed so that the wording is encyclopedic and not opinionated or self-promotional. Also, the picture of the turbine needs to be removed as it is obviously not a photo of an actual turbine from the Werehouse building. Davim00 (talk) 14:05, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I created the page and I agree with every criticism. The many citations that you would rightly require are non-existent. Not because they didn't happen (Mark Hosler said that sentence to my face), but because the kind of documentation required for something to exist on the internet, simply does not exist. This place has been sold and now is run by other businesses. Whoever has the administrative capability to delete this page - should do so. Thanks for all your hard work at making Wikipedia as legitimate a new source as possible. (And I'm sure there's some community rule I'm violating just by posting this here - probably in the absolutely wrong way. But this is my best effort to communicate with the admins of WikiP. Thanks.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sambson (talkcontribs) 23:09, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article rewrite[edit]

After reading the above comments, I have to disagree that this article needs to be deleted. It may be more appropriate to start a Music heading in the main Winston-Salem article, but there is significant coverage of the place as a historical building and a venue. Source 1 (below) in particular may back many statements in the current article, although I don't currently have the time to comb through and check just what.

[1], [2], [3], [4]

I'm willing to come back and try to rework this article at a later time, but I'm currently not able to. If anybody out there wants to get a head start, I hope the above sources help. Skeletor3000 (talk) 22:09, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In the meantime, I trimmed the fucking terrible parts, leaving a mostly blank slate, perfect for somebody potentially starting fresh someday. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:08, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
