Backstreet’s back and they’ve brought pop sensation Meghan Trainor along for the ride. On Thursday night’s ’90s week episode of Greatest Hits on ABC, the “All About That Bass” singer joined the Backstreet Boys to perform their hit song, “I Want It That Way.”

All wearing matching white blazers, the boy band, who first released the single in 1999 (when Trainor was a mere five years old), took turns serenading the 22-year-old.

It was a dream come true for Trainor, who admitted backstage that she was nervous to perform with a group she idolized growing up. “My first band that I loved was the Backstreet Boys,” she admitted before stepping on stage with them. “My pop star crush was Brian [Littrell]. I was gonna marry him and my mom was gonna marry him. That was our husband. The day he got married, I remember we were like, ‘Nooo!’”

Ever the professional, Trainor kept her fan-girling in check long enough to belt out the BSB classic and hit all the high notes.

“Singing with the Backstreet Boys is definitely a bucket-list moment,” she said. Trainor wanted it that way, and she got it.
