Aleppo:

Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured 13 localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Ayn al-Hajar al-Kabir, Ayn al-Hajar al-Saghir, and Umu northwest of Afrin, Central Prison west of Afrin, Al-Amiriyah, Tatara, and Shorkan in Shaykh al-Hadid subdistrict, Jatal Qabo and Sheikh Obasi in Rajo subdistrict, and Jaqal Jum, Khaltan Gharbi, Askhan Sharqi, and Al-Namsha camp in Jindires subdistrict.

Turkish Armed Forces’ convoy entered Syria through Kafr Lusin and headed towards Jabal Anadan northwest of Aleppo, in order to establish an observation point in the area. Turkish Armed Forces coordinated entry into Jabal Anadan area with Faylaq al-Sham, which is in control of the area after the groups present there defected to it, due to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya infighting.

Raqqa:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device wounded four civilians in Al-Mahata district of the city of Raqqa.

Idlib:

Faylaq al-Sham mediated a ceasefire agreement between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) in Aleppo and Idlib governorates. Faylaq al-Sham’s official, Omar Hudhayfah stated that the agreement includes release of prisoners on both sides, cessation of attacks, and opening of roads leading to the front lines with the Syrian Arab Army and its allies.

Free Syrian Army’s Tajammu Saraya Darayya’s inghimasi (suicide fighters) attacked National Defense Forces in the besieged Fuah and Kafraya. Tajammu Saraya Darayya’s media official, Hossam al-Ahmad stated that the group carried out the attack for the people of the East Ghouta. Al-Ahmad also stated that two elements of the group and a group of National Defense Forces were killed in the attack, with reports claiming that the latter’s death toll is five elements. Pro-government sources stated that the attack was repelled and showed footage of three killed rebel elements.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Zamalka and Ain Terma in the East Ghouta. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), dozens of civilians were killed and wounded by the targeting of the aforementioned localities.

Syrian Arab Army reportedly captured half of Kafr Batna and Saqba in the East Ghouta from Faylaq al-Rahman. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham conducted an SVBIED operation against the Syrian Arab Army in Jisreen.

Evacuation of civilians from the East Ghouta continued today through Hammouriyah crossing. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that ten thousand civilians went through the crossing today, while the Russian Ministry of Defense said that 27 thousands civilians were evacuated today.

Last night, Jaysh al-Islam targeted and reportedly damaged a Syrian Arab Air Force’s helicopter over the East Ghouta with a 9K33 Osa surface-to-air missile system.

Jaysh al-Islam’s spokesman, Hamza Birqdar stated that 25 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and three armored vehicles damaged, during today’s encounters on Al-Rayhan front in the East Ghouta.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that 25 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in an attack by the Islamic State on their positions in Al-Qadam neighborhood, south of Damascus. The agency also released a video from the encounter, showing at least 11 bodies of the Syrian Arab Army’s elements.

Daraa:

Prison break took place in the prison of ‘House of Justice in Houran’ in the village of Ghraz, east of the city of Daraa. According to the reports, 23 prisoners escaped from the prison, including several individuals convicted of murder and several elements of the Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid. Reports suggest that half of prisoners were captured, while the search continues for the other half.

Iraq

Salah al-Deen:

Islamic State clashed with the Iraqi Federal Police near Al-Tayoub area, north of Samarra. According to the Islamic State’s Amaq Agency, one element of the Iraqi Federal Police was killed and another wounded in the clashes.

Islamic State’s improvised explosive device reportedly killed an element of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) in Al-Shat area of Al-Tarmiyah.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed seven and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban), as well as destroyed five motorcycles in Shirin Tagab district.

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed an element of the Islamic State and destroyed a motorcycle in Derzab district. Afghan Air Force also conducted air raids over Islamic State’s positions in Derzab and Qush Tepa districts. According to the reports, 35 elements of the Islamic State, including seven fighters from Uzbekistan were killed and 13 wounded by the air raids.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Charbolak district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an assault rifle from the killed element.

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured several Afghan National Security Forces’ positions in Khwaja Ghar district, reportedly killing five and wounding six elements in the process.

Kapisa Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the ‘National Directorate of Security’ in Hesa Duwum Kohistan district.

Kabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted a suicide attack against the United States Army’s convoy in Sar Naw area of the 9th Police District in the city of Kabul. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that between six and ten United States Army’s trainers were killed in the attack.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and arrested one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Bala and Pachir Aw Agam districts.

Logar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan targeted Afghan Local Police’s post in the city of Pol-e Alam, reportedly killing three and wounding one element of the local police.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed one and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in Charkh district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Qali Zardak area of Dara Boom district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Rabatak area of Chishti Sharif district, after the latter was forced to retreat from the area due to former’s attacks. Separately, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan Local Police’s positions in Khwaja Shahr area of Kushk (Rabat-e-Sangi) district, reportedly killing four elements of the police and seizing a PK machine gun.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Dahan Rabatak area of Shahrak district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News stated that the group seized a large area inhabited by more than 100 families, by capturing the two aforementioned checkpoints.

Daykundi Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Police’s vehicle and killed two policemen in Manari area of Kijran district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a motorcycle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Ab Band district.

Paktika Province:

Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with his weapon in Zarghun Shar (Katawaz / Khayr Kot) district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 20 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed three bases and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Chora district, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Khas Urozgan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated high-ranking National Directorate of Security’s official, Colonel Fakhredin Kamal Zadeh in the city of Zaranj, capital of Nimruz Province.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 13 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed 25 fighting positions, an IED factory, 83 improvised explosive devices, and 35 kilograms (77 pounds) of explosive materials in Marjah and Nad Ali districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Police’s checkpoint on a road towards Sangin district in Haidar Abad area of Jerashk district. Reports suggest that 11 elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and wounded in the encounter. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and three wounded in the raid.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Darwaishano area of Khakrez district. Four elements of the Afghan National Police were reportedly killed, while two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the raid.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
