Posted May 1, 2014 10:30 PM by
DreamWorks Animation has officially announced that it will release How to Train Your Dragon Collector's Edition Blu-ray. The release, which will be available for purchase online and in stores across the country on May 27th, will include a code for up to $7.50 off one movie ticket to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 in theaters.
Hailed as "spectacular" (Access Hollywood), "funny and touching"
(Rolling Stone), How to Train Your Dragon rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and laughs into a captivating and original story of a young Viking named Hiccup who defies tradition and befriends a dragon.
The release includes more than 90 minutes of bonus features including the kick off episode of "DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk," behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon animated adventure with the original voice cast, deleted scenes, commentary, trivia, a tutorial on drawing Toothless, Gobber's training secrets and more fiery fun.
Note: Included below is the official U.S. trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Nothing beats the Dragon Deluxe Collector's Edition, which is timeless as heck. I'd even buy a steelbook just for that cover. But this edition is definitely one to swap with my one disc edition, which lacks bonus features from the combo pack version.
One of my favorite animated movies but c'mon Dreamworks instead of milking customers how about offering more titles like Antz and Over the Hedge? Just because they weren't box office hits doesn't mean we wouldn't enjoy them on Blu-ray.
GundarkHunter, the 3D disc is a combo disc with the 2D version on it. That was very early dreamworks along with both megamind and mva who also had 3D/2D.
now where they are spread out, its harder for dreamworks to do that.
I agree honeylatte the exclusion of the 7.1 audio track makes no sense... no sale for me, since I have already the 3D edition - why fix something that aint broke.
