Rapidly-repeating gunfire killed one man and wounded two other people Tuesday evening while they were on a porch on the South Side.

Ricardo Hoyne, 31, of the 7100 block of South Eggleston Avenue was pronounced dead at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a nursing supervisor said. Hoyne was shot in the chest.

Another victim, Opal Mosley, 22, of the 7000 block of South Stewart Avenue was in serious condition at Cook County Hospital with gunshot wounds to her shoulders, a hospital administrator said.

Raymon Dye, 20, also of the 7000 block of South Stewart, was listed fair in condition at St. Bernard Hospital, a nursing supervisor said. He was wounded in the right shoulder, she said.

Police said the three were on Mosley`s porch when Dye said he saw something in the shadows. As he left to investigate, gunfire erupted, police said Dye told them. Dye turned to flee but was hit in the hail of bullets as were Hoyne and Mosley.
