Murder Road by Simone St. James is this author's newest release. While I wouldn't say this is my favorite of hers, it's still and excellent thriller. On that note, the bar is also incredibly high for her. I'm so glad I discovered Simone St. James because she's always good. Anyway, this book reeled me in right away. There's a lot to love about it, but I especially appreciated the creepy atmosphere. If you're a fan of this author's brand of horror mystery thriller with a dash of paranormal, you can't miss this. I need to get caught up on her backlist asap....more

I don't follow K-Pop very much although I do enjoy watching K-dramas and movies. I don't know much about the Korean music industry, but either way this is still feels quite accessible. The characters really make this YA Contemporary work, especially Skye Shin herself. She's a real breath of fresh air. I'm glad I decided to listen to this on audiobook - Greta Jung is a great narrator. I can't recommend this story enough. I'll have to read more from Lyla Lee in the future....more

I can't get over just how much I liked this series opener. It's cool to be able to see so many real life towns and roads that I'm actually familiar with in fiction that rarely ever appear otherwise. It's primarily set in a fictional version of Holmes County, Ohio town but quite a few of the town that appear are real. I gasped at seeing Killbuck! I'm glad I finally decided to take the recommendations I've been getting for this series. I'm going to have to continue the series asap....more

One Giant Leap: The Impossible Mission That Flew Us to the Moon by Charles Fishman is a fascinating history book and it's also incredibly accessible. I'm especially interested in this time period and part of history, so I've been eyeing this for quite some time. I'm glad I finally decided to read it because the author did a great job of laying things out. I love that it gives the reader a broad look at not only the events themselves, but the wider context as well. The only aspect I wasn't as much of a fan of that the author does go into statistics and numbers, some of which could have used greater clarification at some points....more
