Real Madrid Castilla assistant coach Alberto Garrido has joined Tom Cleverley’s coaching staff at Watford.
Garrido, 48, had been an assistant coach at Castilla, Real Madrid’s reserve team, since 2019. He initially worked with Guti and Santiago Solari before joining the coaching staff under the current head coach, Raul.
He has agreed a two-year deal and joins prior to the start of pre-season training later this month. He will team up with Damon Lathrope (assistant head coach) and Armand Kavaja (first-team development coach) as part of Cleverley’s backroom staff.
