Cast[edit]

Removed:

  • Rafi Gavron: From sources, it appears that he was cast as Will Blakelee, but was replaced by Liam. I could not find a satisfactory source, however. (EDIT: found source)
  • Adam Barnett: character is an extra of unknown importance (EDIT: now known to be minor character

source source source) and the provided source did not name the actor. Please add actor back after finding sources. Liquidluck (talk) 05:12, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

Release of details concerning the degree of importance pertaining to Barnett's character "Teddy" is currently prohibited. Filming will wrap for Barnett in mid-July. He is a principal S.A.G actor with dialog, not an extra. Since my time is limited and posts to these pages are easily removed, you may add the information back in at your convenience once you obtain verification from your sources.

Thank you for informing us, 72.179.157.233. From your message, it appears you are or have contact with Barnett. Does Barnett run a website or have an official site of any kind, including one run by his representation or or an official Facebook or Myspace? If he does, and chooses to announce his casting on the site, that would be an appropriate source and I would happily add his role back to the article. Thank you, Liquidluck (talk) 16:50, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comments. Barnett does have a Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/stars21?v=info and I do indeed have contact with him; in fact, he will be flying into San Antonio from Savannah this evening 06/24/09 and I will refer him to your response. Thank you for your time.Fluxions1643 (talk) 02:44, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

Does anyone find this current infobox image ridiculous to use? I do. ---Scarce |||| You shouldn't have buried me, I'm not dead--- 08:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I do to, but it seemed so boring without it. Plus, Cyrus has taken at least one movie still just like that for the movie, and according to IMDB it bears the movie's tag line. Feel free to move or replace. Liquidluck (talk) 17:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The 'promo poster' for the movie is fan-made. They have not yet released the promo. Image removed. Source is from Miley Cyrus' official Twitter account. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.119.175.8 (talk) 19:35, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for catching that! The pic we were talking about above was the book cover, but you are absolutely right about the promo poster. I'm not entirely sure how that was even uploaded. Liquidluck (talk) 00:01, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

cast[edit]

Miley Cyrus as Veronica "Ronnie" Miller Kelly Preston as Ronnie's mother Greg Kinnear as Steve Miller Liam Hemsworth as Will Blakelee Carly Chaikin as Blaze Bobby Coleman as Jonah Hallock Beals as Scott Nick Lashaway as Marcus Robert Adam Barnett as Teddy Nick Searcy as Tom[citation needed]

Donald[edit]

I took out the crew section, so Donald Lenear's death doesn't really fit anywhere. Still, here's the text, in case there's room somewhere in the future.

On July 7th, 2009, during production, crew member Donald Lenear died in his sleep. He was found the next morning by his roommates and declared to have died of natural causes.[1][2]

Plot[edit]

Also removed following from Plot section: In the novel, Ronnie describes the summer as "the summer she’d been betrayed, the summer she’d been arrested, the summer she’d fallen in love" and remembers "the fire and subsequent rebuilding of the church, the stained glass window, the song she’d finally finished."[3]

Said U.S. House Representative Jack Kingston, who represents Tybee Island in Congress and participates in the film as an extra, "This is good stuff. It is a wholesome movie people will be happy to bring their entire family to."[4]

Cast[edit]

Nominating article for peer review- had to take this out because of its non-notable source. It was okay for a regular article, but not a higher class.

  • Michael Jamorski as Lance, a young thug and member of Marcus' crew. Lance participates in shows put on by the crew to hustle money.[5]

Soundtrack[edit]

Thomas and Cyrus will reportedly collaborate on the song.[6] Took out because I haven't heard anything about this since, and better safe than sorry.

Miley Cyrus[edit]

Miley Cyrus- as Veronica "Ronnie" Miller plays a rebelious teen who is forced to to live with her father in the summer with her 10 year old brother Jonah. she falls in love with Will Blakelee a beach volleyball player. she and her father Steve bond over the love for music that they share. Miley sings her song "When I look at you" in the movie. it was originally on her next album but they put it on the soundtrack for the movie because it fit in the movie well.

Critical Reception[edit]

This film will most be remembered for its poor performance of an overrated actress. Seeing as the critical reception really sums up the film, I think, it is significant and important enough to make the tagline. This film was ****, or words to that effect should go right at the top of this article. 86.182.141.217 (talk) 22:37, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Point.[edit]

Seriously, people, the phrase "[verb] to be with the girl he loves" has no place in any piece of writing NOT specifically intended to be ambiguous.

This has been a public service announcement from nobody in particular. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.6.205 (talk) 19:20, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
