JROTC
Vera Fide Honor The Bengal Battalion is dedicated to developing strong leadership potential, thinking logically, communicating effectively with others, establishing strong ethical values, and learning to be strong independent leaders of tomorrow.
The Bogan Bengal Battalion is a Cadet led team of highly motivated young leaders who seek responsibility in shaping their futures. The mission and goal of the Bogan JROTC program, is to motivate young people to become better citizens. Students who choose JROTC will take on leadership roles that continue to define and grow the program. JROTC Cadets learn the Army Values, ethics in leadership, and leadership principles and are not just leaders inside the program, but throughout the entire school as well, and can apply their skills city wide by joining the City Corps. Cadets learn exciting new skills such as first aid, orienteering, drill and ceremony, and much more. In addition to school athletics and activities, Cadets have the additional opportunities to compete in many events native to the program; JROTC teams include Drill, Raiders, Rifle, Color Guard, Archery, Junior Leadership/Academic Bowl (JLAB), and Sports Challenge. As Cadets graduate through the program, they advance in rank and position, eventually earning the honor of competing for Battalion Leadership roles such as Commander, Command Sergeant Major, Executive Officer, or one of the many staff positions that conduct all operations of the program itself. |
